Having travelled to Florida on many occasions we have written the following Florida Guide reports to help our guests better plan their holidays. A trip to Florida would not be complete without a visit to Magic KIngdom. The flagship of all the Disney parks, Magic Kingdom really is the magic of Disney. From great rides to even better parades, fireworks shows to meeting your favourite characters, you really will have a great time. The park is open from very early to late all year round.

Universal Islands of Adventure
Islands of Adventure

Possibly the most popular of all the Florida theme parks, Islands of Adventure has some of the World's best rides. From Harry Potter, The Amazing Spiderman, Hulk, Dr Doom Fearfall and Draggons Challenge. Islands of Adventure is aimed at the whole family, but does have an older edge to it to keep the teenagers and adults happy. Now linked to Universal Studios via the new Hogmead Express ride.

A firm favourite with the whole family, Universal Studios was the original of all the Universal Parks. There is plenty to keep everyone busy for the day and the park offers some great rides, Transformers, Rip Ride Rockit and the new Harry Potter Hogsmead which link to Islands of Adventure.

Disney Hollywood Studios

Relive the movies at Hollywood Studios. One of the most popular of the Disney Theme parks, Hollywood Studios takes you behind the scenes of the movies, offering some great shows and great rides. Take a trip on the Tower of Terror, ride the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, fly the new Star Wars ride or watch the amazing Lights, Motors, Action stunt show, there is always plenty of activities to do at Hollywood Studios.

EPCOT is the largest of all the Disney parks. The park is themed around the future and innovation. Here you will find plenty of hands on activities for the children, along with some great rides Test Track (build and ride your own car), Mission Space (take a trip to Mars) and Soarin (fly over the World). Not to be missed is the famous EPCOT fireworks display.

Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon is one of the two Disney waterparks. The park takes the theme of a 'surf beach' and is built around a large lagoon. This park is a great place to relax and soak up the sun, while keeping the children entertained all day on some of the water rides. Why not try and surf one of the huge waves in the lagoon or take a trip on Slusher Gusher.

Animal Kingdom is the newest Disney park and revolves around the Disney tree of life. A firm favourite with the family this park has some of Disneys best shows. Normally not as busy as the other Disney parks, it cn be much easier to meet the Disney Characters here. Why not take a ride on Expedition Everest and meet the famous Yeti.

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, Clearwater beach is only 1 hour away from Orlando. Clearwater Beach is famous for it's miles upon miles of golden sandy beaches and excellent weather. The beach is a great place for Children being children freindly and the water here is very warm all year round.

Busch Gardens

Located on the Florida East coast, Daytona Beach is not only famous for its great 'drive on' beach, but also the big Daytona speedway racetrack. The beach at Daytona can be driven on, which is great if you want to park your car next to you when you sunbath. Why not hire a beach buggy or quad bike to explore the whole beach.

Busch Gardens is located near Tampa, Florida on the west coast. Located about 1 hour away from Orlando, the park is a real favourite with people. Here you will find some great rides, SHEIKRA, KUMBA, MONTUand TIDAL WAVE. Why not take a safari tour around the park and see all the animals.

Universal Citywalk

Seaworld is located around 25 minutes from Florida Ridge Villa. The park is a mixture of great rides and discovery about marine animals. Seaworld also has some great shows in the form of, Shamu show, Sealion show and dolphin show. Each of these shows are around 30 minutes in length and are ideal for tha family. Rides at this park are in the form of the KRACKEN and MANTA.

Disney Waterparks
Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach is one of the two Disney Water Parks along with the older Typhoon Lagoon. Designed around a European Ski resort Blizzard Beach is a great place to come if you like water rides. Located in the middle of the park is the imposing Summit Plummit, a 120ft water slide that takes you to 50mph. The park really is a great place for the children, having lots of areas and smaller slides for them.

Discovery Cove Orlando
Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove is park of the Seaworld parks and is located right next door to Seaworld Orlando. The cove is an exclusive place to come and get up close and personal with dolphins and other fish. While here you learn about their habitats and ways of life. A great place to come to experience an encounter with a dolphin.

Universal Citywalk is located on the entrance to Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure. Citywalk is made up of restaurants, shops and the large Hard Rock Cafe. Citywalk does not cost to get in (apart from the parking charges) and is an ideal place to go after you have been to either Universal or Universal Islands of Adventure.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is an outdoor, dining, and entertainment complex at the walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista in Orlando.

 

Disney Springs is located at Downtown Disney and it is around 20 minutes from Florida Ridge Villa. To get there follow the signs to Downtown Disney Springs.

Boggy Creek is well known throughout Florida as a place where you will meet Alligators in the wild. From here you can take airboat rides out into the Creek where you can explore their habitat and hopefully meet one of them. Boggy Creek is a good half day activity for the family.

Sandy Ridge is an exclusive community located near to Championsgate Davenport Florida. The Ridge is an ideal place to come and stay and offers many short term rental properties. We are often asked what is the best roller coaster in Florida. Everyone has their prefered and hopefully the ones listed here will be on your top 5. Roller Coasters are one of the main reasons many people visit Florida (outside of the great weather) and you will not be dissapointed in the selection it has to offer. From Extreme coasters to family friendly, Florida has them all.

With Florida being an all year round destination you are really spoilt for choice of when to go. Depending on the time of year will give different weather (from very hot and humid to clear crisp warm skies). Go in the summer for warmer temperatures, but more cloud and rain, to spring and autumn for warm cloudless days.
