Q. How long have you owned your Florida property?

 

A. We have owned the property since 2004. Our first guests arrived in the property in the Oct of 2004.

 

Q. I am nervous about booking over the internet, how can I make sure your Florida Ridge Villa is verified?



A. We can provide you contact details of our property manager who can verify the property is owned by us. We have previous guest testimonials who have stayed at the villa should you wish to see these. We are also verified on Orlando Villas website.

 

Q. Why book direct with us?



A. Booking direct with the owners saves money and ensures that you get a very personal service. Booking an Orlando villa via a travel agent means you will not know until you arrive where your accommodation will be and what facilities your Florida villa will have. The facilities advertised on our site are what you would get during your stay.

Q. Can I pay via Credit card?



A. For added security you can pay via all types of credit card. This is done via PAYPAL and payment is instant. There is a 4% surcharge for paying via PAYPAL, this is because we are charged this fee to transfer the money to our account.

 

Q. Is it true that Florida Ridge Villa is cheaper than a hotel?



A. An Orlando villa works out much cheaper per person than a hotel room, leaving you more cash to spend at the theme parks. You are not going to pay per person as the villa is for up to 8-10 people.

 

Q. Why choose Florida Ridge Villa when there is so much choice?



A. We would like to think that our villa is one of the best Orlando Villa in Florida. It is managed to the very highest standards, has more facilities than many other villas, all in all making your holiday in Florida the best ever.



Q. I have seen cheaper villas with similar facilities?



A. It is true that owners can charge what they want for Orlando villa rentals. Please be very careful about cheaper villas. We know what it takes and costs to keep an Orlando villa in its best condition for guests and would not settle for anything less than perfect. Some of the cheaper Orlando villas you see advertised will be cutting corners in some areas and are generally not loved and cared for by their owners. We visit our villa at least 2 times per year to ensure standards are kept very high.

 

Q. We have more than 10 people going, can you still help?



A. We are in contact with other Orlando villa owners on Sandy Ridge (many on our street) and can arrange joint bookings if required. It is always best to book well in advance if you intend to book 2 villas at the same time.

 

Q. What is the cheapest way to fly to Florida?



A. There are many airlines that fly to Florida. Some are scheduled and some Charter. To get the best deals it is always worth looking around. Make sure the flights tie in with the villa availability dates. As a general rule of thumb flying indirect can cut the cost of travel, and not flying during peak periods.

 

Q. Will we need car hire?



A. Car hire is essential if you are to make the most out of your Florida holiday. Not only does it give you more flexibility, it allows you to get around without having to be reliant on public transport. Why not book this when you book your villa with us. Q. Is it best to book Florida Ridge Villa in advance?



A. It is always best to book in advance. During the busy school periods (Summer, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year) the villa can be booked up quickly (anything up to a year in advance). To view up to date availability please look at the availability calendar.

 

Q. What is the best way to pay?



A. You can pay both deposit and final payment by UK/ US cheque, PAYPAL or bank transfer. Cheques will take on average 4-7 days to clear (US cheques may take longer). Please note that there is a surcharge of 4.00% to pay using PAYPAL.

 

Q. What happens if we have a problem during our stay?



A. In the unfortunate event of a problem occurring you will have a 24 hour emergency contact number of the management company. All initial problems will be dealt with by the management company in the first instance.



Q. How often is Florida Ridge Villa cleaned?



A. The villa will be fully cleaned before you arrive and after your departure. All linen is fresh on your arrival. All cleaning is included in our price (unless staying under 7 days). If you require a mid clean during your stay, please inform us and we can have this arranged for you. A cost of $95 is charged for this service.

 

Q. How often is the pool cleaned and can I use the pool when it is being cleaned?



A. The pool and patio area is cleaned on a regular basis. This is done by our management company to ensure that it meets with all Florida state laws. You are not allowed to use the pool during cleaning periods for up to 2 hours after the chemicals have been put into the pool.



Q. Do I need the pool heated in summer?



A. It is only reccommended to have the pool heated between Oct - May, as the pool is south facing, during the summer months the pool will be warm enough. There is nothing worse than not being able to use the pool because it is too cold. Pool heat is turned on by our Management company prior to your arrival.

 

Q. Can I smoke inside the villa?

 

A. No person is allowed to smoke inside the villa. However you can smoke on the Patio area by the pool.

 

Q. Can we bring pets?



A. No pets are allowed in the villa. This is because we might have some guests with allergies. Some Orlando Villas have specific properties dedictaed to animals and as such these properties are the ones you need to use.

 

Q. Does the villa have a cot/crib, high chair and stroller?



A. The villa has a cot (crib), high chair and stroller; these are located in the garage. We also have baby cutlery if you require. Florida Ridge Villa is fully baby friendly. We have recently updated the baby package to include a baby walker and extra pool toys.

 

Q. How far is Florida Ridge Villa from the theme parks?

 

A. Disney World is 10-15 mins away. Universal and Wet 'n' Wild are 25 mins away. Busch Gardens is 1 hour away. You can get to Clearwater Beach in an hour and 15 minutes and Daytona Beach in an hour.  Getting to Disney is very easy being only 2 junctions away on the Interstate 4. Now that is close!

 

Q. Is it true the weather in Florida is warm all year round?

 

A. The weather in Florida is renowned for its year round warm climate, In summer the weather can get very hot and humid with the odd late afternoon shower, In winter the days are warm and the evenings are a little cooler. It is advised to have pool heating if you intend to use the pool during the cooler months.

 

Q. What are the dates of hurricance Season?

 

A. It is extremely unlikely that Orlando will be subjected to a hurricane. Hurricane season is typically from Jul - Nov.

 

Q. When is the best time to visit Orlando?

 

A. Orlando is now becoming one of the most popular places to holiday. During the year there are many factors to consider before booking. Firstly if you do not like too much heat, the best time is normally around Feb, Mar, Nov and Dec. If you like it warmer then Jul, Aug and Sep is best. If you like things a little quieter try avoiding the US school holiday periods. If booking a Florida Villa the cheapest times will be 'out of season' dates.

 

Q. Is it best to get our park tickets before we go?



A. It is advised to get tickets before you travel. This saves time and hassle and time when you arrive, this allows you to enjoy all Florida has to offer right away without having to queue. We can offer genuine discounted park tickets at the following link.  Florida Park tickets can be delivered by registered mail prior to your departure or to our villa on the day of your arrival. We advise guests to look at the various options on the tickets website as these often change due to the deals at the time of year. As a general rule of thumb, the more days you buy the cheaper the cost per day.
