Although EPCOT is mainly aimed at Innovation and science there are some very good rides on offer. Some of these rides include MISSION SPACE (a simulator ride that takes 4 people on a space exploration to Mars), TEST TRACK (a car racing round a test track, where you are the dummies on test), SOARIN( a simulator ride where you fly over San Fransisco, Los Angeles and different parts of the United States). NEMO and FRIENDS, a gentle ride meeting all your friends from the film Finding Nemo. These are only a few of many great rides.

 

For those that like shows there are many of these at EPCOT, these include the spectacular Fireworks, drummers, character meetings, comedians, dancers, jugglers and acrobats. To ensure you don’t miss any of these shows you need to keep an eye out for the many boards around the park, which show the times for each. It is always advisable to plan your day in advance as to not miss any of them and get your money’s worth. It is always worth checking these as depending on the time of year, some of the shows might not be running.

 

For those with young Children or toddlers EPCOT really is one of the best Disney Parks. Some of the ‘hands on’ activities in the exhibits in the Innovations area; is designed with Children in mind. They will really love this area, as it is very interactive and hands on.

 

Before you visit the park it is best to download the new Disney APP for either your smart phone or tablet from their website as this will allow you to book the most popular rides in advance using the new Disney FASTPASS + service. This service allows you to book up to 3 rides of your choice and select the times you wish to ride them. This can be very good especially for rides like TEST TRACK and MISSION SPACE, which are extremely busy during peak period of the day. In EPCOT you can also use the FASTPASS + to book the Disney Character photo shoots. Here you can skip the queues to meet your Disney favourite characters and have your photo taken with them. What is different from meeting the characters at other Disney parks is here they are all in one place, which makes it very easy to see them all. As Disney now has complimentary WI-FI, checking your APP in the park is extremely easy. This will tell you what the queues are like and useful information.

 

Overall I would really rate EPCOT and it is definitely a certain must visit when booking your Disney park tickets. It is worth considering going later in the day to avoid some of the early queues on the most popular rides, this also allows you to view the spectacular fireworks show late in the evening, this show alone is worth the entrance fee and very good. Why not combine it with a nice meal in one of the EPCOT Showcase restaurants, where you can relax before the hustle and bustle of getting a good vantage point for the firework show.
