Sandy Ridge is a prestigious community located near to Championsgate and Reunion Resort area of Orlando. The community is made up of around 200 family homes intermingled with large conservation woodland. The area is an ideal base to locate yourself if you want to explore and visit the Disney and surrounding area.
Being so close to all the action really sets this community apart from others within the area. In around 10 – 15 minutes you can be right at the entrance to Disney’s Magic Kingdom and in around 30 minutes you will be at Universal Studios. You really could not wish to be located in a better location for your vacation.
Each home has its own private swimming pool and some have built in spa’s. Most of the properties are between 3 – 5 bedrooms and can sleep between 6 – 12 people (enough for 2 families). A lot of the properties back onto the conservation or lake views.
Located within 3 minutes of the entrance to Sandy Ridge, you will find a large (NEW) Publix offering all you will need for your self catering stay. There are 2 other new shopping complexes which have Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donut, hair and beauty parlor and many more other restaurants. A few extra minutes away there is Championsgate, which has another Publix, Subway and also Chillis Mexican grill. There are many gas stations in this area.
What sets this area apart from other locations is how peaceful and tranquil the community is in the evenings. Sitting at the pool really is a relaxing experience and most of the time the only thing you will be able to hear is the crickets and other wildlife!
If you are into your golf, there are no less than 6 major golf courses located within 20 minutes of Sandy Ridge. The most famous one being the Greg Norman designed World Championship course at Championsgate. Located there is the David Ledbetter golfing academy.
